The city has jurisdiction over three districts such as Lucheng, Longwan and Ouhai, the two cities of Rui’an and Yueqing and six counties as Yongjia, Dongtou, Pingyang, Cangnan, Wencheng and Taishun. It includes 19 towns, 143 villages, 30 Sub-District Offices, 511 residents’ committees.Wenzhou People’s Government is located in Lucheng section.

    Wenzhou has the largest population of Zhejiang Province. By the end of 2009, the city had a permanent resident population of 8.076 million, 78 thousand people more than the last year, and the registered population is 7.7911 million.
